Sitting on the edge of a rainbow
Waiting for the storm to appear.
Thunder rolls toward vast blue skies
The rain follows soon: it is here.
Thick dark clouds swallowing the sun
Icy winds twist your thoughts each day.
Boundless distance: forgotten time
Watch as the stars begin to play.
I got hit by lightning
Just the other day.
The Port Hole opened,
And I couldn’t look away.
It called my name.
Every now and then
We see eye to eye.
The Port Hole opens
With no chance to say goodbye.
You called my name.
Very beautiful lyrics and image.
Love and light ❤

Hey Mike, You’re the first person I thought about as I watched this documentary on Alzheimer’s and the restorative power of music. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2kTJa7duW-Q. It’s called Alive Inside, and probably you’ve already heard about it. In any case, thought you might like it. 🙂

That was fascinating. I had not seen this before but I am familiar with the effect on memory. So sad and heart-breaking. What a great project and amazing the difference we can make in each other’s lives. Thank you so much for thinking of me! I am very moved by this. Amazing.

Great! I like the imagery on this poem. Sometimes the words or a phrase just sounds good. I am not sure if it is easy to related to for most people, but I like it! Thanks again.

Midimike, hello! I refused to close this day without stopping by! Have missed you neighbor and friend! Your emails come up at my desk, then I have to log in and that always gets me stuck in the password mode! ANYWAY, I love this post. Caught your post on your song, and wanted to be able to listen. This neighbor has been “out of pocket” as they say down here:) I wanted to come by and say Hi! Have been reading, but not always able to hit “like” or respond for various reasons:( So before I turn out the light, hello, always good to read your post and enjoy:) blessings friend, d

That is so cool of you to say. Thank you for the special comments and thoughts. LOL about the log in/password mode! Everything these days requires passwords and I have trouble remembering names any way. What a great neighbor and good friend! I am glad to be even a small part of your world.

Really great stuff! What stands out in your poems lyrics is the vivid imagery. In fact, I read this after your black hole post, and the image of the port hole kinda reminded me of it. Lol, just like Led Zeppelin, I Ramble On…
