We are the first to fall
Silent signal to you all.
Summer is over; winter comes
Beauty of spring is now undone.
We are the first to fall
Those who listened for the call.
The song continues; season strums
Cycles end as they’ve begun.
We are the first to fall
Summon our young and let’s withdrawl
Leaves change colors; turn to crumbs
Stories told for years to come.

Thank you so much. I had help from my daughter Alisa on this poem. The pictures I just do…… I might take pictures of the same thing over and over but still find the beauty in them LOL.

I’m currently in Wyoming and I have noticed they have Summer, Winter and Wind…I’ll be back home in a week, thankfully! 🙂

We only have 2 seasons in out country thats why i always am amazed to see photos of other seasons too..

It goes by all too fast, but I really enjoy watching the seasons change. Each year is different. Sometimes it FEELS like we go from overcast hot to overcast cold LOL!

Touching words.
Autumn casts a special spell of reflection more than inspiration.
I harken back to days of Clay. Searching for the spirit in the heart of downtown. Searching ’till the day when the leaves turning brown touch the ground.

Agreed. It is a natural time to reflect; maybe even prepare thoughts for the future. Even in city surroundings the change of seasons are precious!
