While you sleep
You will lay safely.
I will caress you
I will keep you warm.
When the world
Is beyond your touch
I will hold your hand
I will call your name.
There is pain
Lost behind the door.
‘Til then embrace it
And the good things in life.
This Moment
With all the others
I’ll remember you
And still hear your laugh.
Overwhelming
What if it’s not a dream?
I’ll tell you what’s real
As moments remain.
This Moment
With all the others
I’ll remember you
And still hear you laugh.
In memory of my brother Christopher.
That was so beautiful. I’m so sorry about your brother. If you need to talk, I’m here.

That was very generous of you to say and I do not take it for granted. He has been gone for a while now but I still think about him.
Thank you so much for the concern and for reaching out to me.

Thank you.
My little brother died from cancer a while ago, but I will always remember him —- especially his laugh.
The struggle was tough on him but he kept his sense of humor and great outlook. I hope to be that strong.

Cancer seems to be the monster we never see coming. I’ve known so many people who have suffered from it and lost someone because of it too. It’s nice that you wrote such a beautiful song in memory of your brother. I’m sure you will be that strong too. We never know what we’re fully capable of until we’re put in certain situations. We’re all strong in our own ways.

I have seen a bit of that monster. My mother, father and younger brother all died from cancer. But for them, we could see it coming. Hereditary traits are one thing, but Lifestyles can have an amazing effect.
Suffer is the right word. He was amazing and still cared for others more than himself. His laugh was infectious. Those moments I remember the clearest though, and that is a blessing because I think odd him often.
Do take care of yourself and those around you. Thank you!
