I just realized what a dipshit I am. Don’t know exactly when it began But it certainly wasn’t part of my plan.

I understand how condescending I’ve become. Thinking I’m the only one that gets things done. You can’t be productive if you are having fun.

Step Outside yourself for just five minutes. That’s all it takes to know who you are. Step Outside yourself: I can show you how. You really don’t have to go very far.

I know, ’cause I can hear what you’re thinking. Everyone loves me so why all the cursing? I hate the thought of endless reversing.

Step Outside yourself for just five minutes That’s all it takes to know who you are. Step Outside yourself: I can show you how, You really don’t have to go very far.

Step Outside and pay attention. It’s not like the rest of the world needs your attention. It takes a little effort and not much time. Come on out, the answer is in the rhyme.

Give me a minute And if you                 look at you The way I                  look at me We can Step Outside together.

Step Outside yourself for just five minutes. That’s all it takes to know who you are. Step Outside yourself: I can show you how. You really don’t have to go very far.

I just realized what a dipshit I am. Don’t know exactly when it began But it certainly wasn’t part of my plan.

Good idea! We all have a personal blind spot to some part of our personality and actions. Unless you have a good friend you can trust, you’ll never see it unless you step outside of yourself.

Thanks! I guess this is another advantage of age. The perspective becomes easier as you are forced to remember your actions over the years. When you add them up you may see a blind spot or two.
I think it is much better to rely on a good friend! I appreciate your visit and please feel welcomed, friend!

I started to leave a wiseacre reply about not like the view from outside and scurrying back in, but actually I agree. It is an advantage of age and I’ve come to wish I could’ve become this person years ago. Not that this person’s perfect, but she’s a slightly improved model.

That is a healthy outlook. My life’s goal is to be a decent human being; however long that takes. We can only improve through hind-sight, but many do not take advantage of this. Maybe wiseacres like us are better suited for the perspective. We are usually our own worst critic. I too wish I had been able to benefit from this earlier in life.
Great comments and I appreciate your thoughts!

Ha! That is the risk I take by not getting out much. I do not get feedback from many people outside my inner circle, so I feel I have to be more self critical. As long as I do not ignore what that perspective tells me it might even be rewarding in some way.
      I hope!
Thanks so much, and you are welcome here any time.
