About Me

From the day my mother gave me my first musical instrument at the age of five, I became a musical sponge.  I learned any instrument I could get my hands on and it didn’t take long before I was repairing and connecting instruments to PA systems.  By 15, I was recording my original songs on reel-to-reel.

Years later, while managing a local music store, I was given the opportunity to perform with the areas most talented musicians, including The Merchants Of Death, Euphoria, Harry Strawberry, Crash Landing, It, and Tellin’ Ellen, The Chase and I haven’t stopped since.  I currently write and record all of my own original music in my home studio.

My latest album, Before The Chase, is available now through iTunes and CD Baby. This is an original acoustic rock album recorded with an Ovation 12-string guitar.

It was a delight. Nice to see a project like that so well laid out. I understand the recently started part, so quite willing to help! I have played in a number of bands and recorded or ran sound for a lot more….. I have never played out with “my band” playing original tunes, but even the cover bands played original tunes. I have three collections posted. One is “Touch Down”, all instrumental and is solo stuff but with full band sounds and orchestral instruments, etc.
The other (Dark Energy”) is my original music with me singing and playing acoustic guitar. The third is “Retrograde”, a collection of original songs performed with and by some of the bands I have been involved in. Complicated question to a simple answer, but that is just the way I am LOL! Thanks and let me know how I can help.

I would say if you play five instruments you are on the right road!! For me there are two; the first one is playing with other musicians when players listen and respond to other creative thoughts or themes and incorporate them into new themes. Very creative!. The second is watching people in the audience singing your original songs!! Nothing like it.

    Thank you Mike,

We know people who are in church every Sunday, but are the biggest phonies. Christianity has problems that come from humans, not God. I believe that those who are atheists don’t understand the bible. They’ve been given the wrong message. And sometimes, I’d rather be around them than some Christians. The bible is not a book to read completely then think we have all the answers. It’s a book for life. But people use the bible for their own gain. They did that during slavery and people are still doing those things. When people sit down and compare the bible with evolution, they’ll see the flaws. But you need people who really know the bible. They’ve been to school and they study, they work with others. The bible explains everything from the beginning to what will happen in the end.

So, when I saw your blog about black holes, I just had to send those verses from the bible. And I believe that singers and musicians have something special that can’t be learned in school. And I hope that my comments will enlighten you. Take care.

We keep forgetting people are people. Even if you have a great faith or job or position or even education, there are ways to misuse, abuse and benefit from other’s loss. There are so many traditional religions that branch away with foundations based on the bible. The same thing of course is happening to the other major beliefs. As you said, people use the bible for their own gain. Their gain might be as simple as getting to heaven. Often it is much worse. I have read the bible and I know many thousands study it and the other great teachings, yet I still doubt anyone can really know the bible. In the great scale of time, modern science is very young. And in this short time we have learned so much and understand there is so much more. I never looked at them as two different stories. It is unfortunate many people cannot think any other way. Many thanks.
