All religions should practice what they preach and teach. Makes sense.

We are taught not to surround ourselves with the trappings of the world. Gold, silver, statues, paintings, and jewels become temptations within the soul. For some, it’s a type of power that corrupts the mind.

In ancient times for communities struggling to build and survive, various eternal treasures were their ‘stock market’. This was the only way of preserving wealth through the ages until the day when banks and compound interest came along.

Face it, major religions stole valuables and profited from the conquest of many nations and then used that nations natural resources to finance more conquests. The stolen assets can also be seen at museums around the world, but not in the countries of origin. Those have all been stripped away in the name of some king or one god or another.

Each religion and many museums should sell all the treasures they have gained. Put all proceeds generated into independent world-wide trust(s).

Only a small portion of that global conversion of assets would be necessary to feed, educate and provide safe environments for every citizen of this planet. Distribute annual portions from the trust funds for the welfare of each future generation and to protect the planet and the heavens from ourselves. And still have money left over. The 1st STEP.

Future generations then might actually have a reason to become believers.

Just another wild thought from an old man.

Jesus Christ.

Have you ever read the Bible?

Talking to a coworker laying down tracks,
Says he doesn’t need all of them facts.
He started yelling, then looked at me and spat
When he couldn’t convince me the world was flat.

Only A Fool
Only A Fool would still say that.

During mass I overheard someone at church:
‘Mankind was placed on the highest perch.
The Earth is no more than a few thousand years old
Evolution is all garbage so I’ve been told’.

Only A Fool
Only A Fool could believe that.
It’s something ‘Only A Fool’ says these days.
But they keep reading it in that book.
If you want to know where the fool is
Give it another look.

The sun races across the sky every day.
Hard to view it any other way.
So easy to believe you are the center.
Hard to leave it behind once you enter.

Only A Fool
Only A Fool would repeat that

The first time I heard it, it caught my breath;
If your wife commits adultery, stone her to death.
Want to hear what I believe to be truth?
Faith is believing in fairy tales without any proof.

It’s something ‘Only A Fool’ says these days.
But they keep reading it in that book.
If you want to know where the fool is
Give it another look.

What book are you reading right now?

The book I just started reading is Facing the Dark Corner by fellow blogger Bogdan Dragos.  I can’t wait to get started!

What part of your routine do you always try to skip if you can?

Waking up.

What food would you say is your specialty?

I would have to say my french fries are to die for. I had to go make some after reading this post.
