I remember being proud after writing this poem-song with my brother (Charles) David.  It is an autobiography of sorts from a twenty-something writer!

Often I would sit in the dark while others slept and played my Ovation 12 string guitar.  I would play for a while until the guitar listened to the evening.  Then the guitar would play me.  Many nights what I played was the only thing accompanying me.  I still love this song if you get a chance to listen to it.

This song is old enough that there are a few recorded versions. I will find my earlier blog post and provide a link, but here is a link to a more recent recording.

This gives you links to popular streaming sites so you can hear from your preferred provider. “Quiet Nights” was released on a CD project called “Reinstated” by my band, The Merchants. “The Merchants” are my song writing mates from fifty years ago. We are almost ready to release another collection of songs.

You are the best and I apologize for being late. It seems like I have more time than ever, but can’t seem to get things started lol.
